Nevermindfulness

Nevermindfulness

Some thoughts on a fine spring weekend….

It was 60 when the sun came up, pale yellow and so tempting. My to-do’s have now gotten slashed. Today, I must be living.

The porch swing’s begging “set me free” from rafters where its hidden. The canine’s looking at his leash, quite sure I’ll do his bidding.

Oh, yeah. I’m there, sweet puppy dog. I’ll join you in some walking. Then magazines and tea, as well, while in that swing I’m rocking.

I’ll “nevermind” the tasks at hand. God’s world will keep on spinning. It’s just too grand for paperwork. Today, I must be living.

  1. I love the poetry. I don’t know if you know the hymn “How Ca I Keep from Singing,” but your poem reminded me of that song.
