Hey, blog friends! In preparation for my new book’s Feb. 2 launch, Weelunk magazine posted a story-behind-the-story this weekend.
Linking through to this post (and to weekly chapter posts for this serialized book release) not only supports my work (at no cost to readers), it also shows there is a market for clean reads and faith fiction.
After a long career writing for local newspapers β and, on rare occasions, for publications such as The Washington Post β Nora's word life is now focused on blogging and occasional writing projects of special interest. Also the author of several books, Nora lives in Appalachia with her husband and a goodish dog named Finn, who is delighted whenever the family's two adult daughters are home from college.

Congratulations, Nora! Yes, there is a market for clean, faith fiction! I am always looking for that kind of book. Looking forward to reading yours. π
My first three books are a trilogy of fiction,* originally written for teens and young adults, but from the feedback I’ve received, they’ve been read and enjoyed by older folks as well. (I was told by one that it brought back memories of his college days. π )

That’s so cool! There’s a lot of really good writing in the YA arena now. I’ve read some of the stuff my daughters bring home and really like it. I’ll have to check your books out. π
You look absolutely beautiful, lovely pic. Congratulations, thanks for sharing the history behind the book. Bridges are so interesting, they have a story of their own.
The first chapter is live today — and the whole book will be a free read! You can link to it through my JOY Journal blog post for today, my home page or directly through the e-magazine that is sponsoring it at weelunk.com. π
Thanks, Angel. The first chapter went live on Sunday. It’s a lot of fun to publish in such a dynamic way. News keeps working its way into the story. π
Cool. Look forward to it.

π Thank you! I love bridges, too. I don’t have the kind of brain that would ever know how to build one, but I’m glad other people do.

Oops. I changed my reply as I had your name wrong. I had you mixed up with Virginia, who writes Roses in the Rubble. Have a blessed day!!
