Chapter 30 is live (only 11 more to go)! And, again, this read is free thanks to an arts patron.
A quick look at this week’s installment: As if the rough patch Gabe and Allie have hit in their new marriage isn’t enough, Allie’s father makes an unfathomable suggestion.

Ouch, a rough round for Gabe this week. So why were daisies the flower of chose this time?
I know. Modern novel construct — things just keep getting worse until the end! Sigh… On the flower choice, “he” was thinking daisies because he never wants to interact with Allie the way he has with other women. Daisies (which she picked for her wedding bouquet) and violets are good. Roses are a permanent no go.
(Some book news is forthcoming. Not a contract yet, but some good news for “Suspended Aggravation” and an assist with contract pursuit on book 3. I should know more to announce in the next week or so!) 🙂
I knew there was a detail I was forgetting. I remembered the African violet (my grandmother always had one in her kitchen) but the shock of the accident right after the ceremony drove the thought of her bouquet out of my mind.
